Tile

Tiling is one of the many types of flooring offered by Ace Custom Flooring. Ceramic or Porcelain tile has a variety of benefits, and can be used anywhere in your home, most often in wet areas such as kitchens and bathrooms. Tile is known for being easy to clean and maintain, requiring very little maintenance especially with our standard use of new stain resistant grouts (many of which offer a 25 year stain resistant residential warranty). Tile is a very cost effective option even though it may seem expensive to initially install, tile when properly installed is long lasting and durable. Even if you were to break a tile we have very cost effective methods and materials that many times allow us to repair it without replacing large sections.

In addition to its adaptability and affordability, tile is popular because you can choose from a wide variety of colors, patterns, and styles. Tile can be incorporated into nearly any setting, or matched to fit any style of decoration. Not only can you choose tile flooring in many different colors and patterns, but also in multiple sizes. This makes tile highly versatile for any flooring application.  With many new styles coming out each year you are sure to find a ceramic or porcelain tile to beautify your home or office.

Natural stone tile and wall accents although very beautiful require additional maintenance that should always be taken into consideration when planning your next project.  Almost all natural stones are porous (hold water) and can be stained easily if not properly sealed on a regular basis.  Many are also weak and if not used properly can break or degrade over time.  Before using a natural stone feel free to contact us for a consultation to ensure it is proper for your application and will be a lasting solution.

Glass tile has quickly become a major player in the tile industry again.  It has a wide variety of styles and sizes and is used very heavily in backsplashes and showers.  It also while stunningly beautiful has its limitations and drawbacks if not used properly.  Glass tile is tempered glass and therefore does not cut well with out chipping, cracking or breaking.  Special tools and mortars are required for glass installation and therefore increases the cost and training required for proper installation.  When planning out your next project and glass is being considered feel free to contact us and we can help you understand what type of glass tile is recommended for your application and its installation limitations.
